Industry Overview

In recent years, foreign trades in the PRC undergo rapid expansion. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the annual total import and export value exceeds US$0.6 billion, more than half of which are attributable to export. Exports to major trade partners such as the United States, Canada and countries in the European Union are also escalating, underscoring the persistent fast-paced development of the export business in the PRC.

In the past, textiles exports from the PRC were restricted by quota systems imposed by countries such as the United States and European countries. The nation’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), however, enlarged the export opportunities of its textiles products to a huge extend and brought forth an equal standing between the PRC with international rivals. All these factors, in addition to the increasingly open textiles trade market, bring the PRC to a new era with countless opportunities and immeasurable prospects.
